Kinneret Courtyard
The Kinneret Courtyard was the home of early pioneers before the establishment of the State of Israel. It provides evidence of how they lived in the first years of the 20th century, as they built the foundation of the State. We developed and planned an outdoor nocturnal exhibit based on video mapping technology, which surrounds the walls, the floor, the trees and so on. Before the show, visitors will take an interactive journey through various points in the courtyard, equipped with headsets, to discover the history of the place. Developed and planned with the artist Eduardo Hobsher.
Herodian Quarter Museum
The Herodian Quarter Museum is in fact the quarter where the Temple Priests lived. It is located at what was the Temple, and is one of the largest excavated archaeological sites in Israel and in the world (as an excavated museum). Together with the curator Dudi Mevurach and the architect Avi Or, we developed a program for a journey back in time to the lives of people in the Quarter, a journey into an archaeological site that combines crossing glass bridges, viewing projections at various places, and using headsets to hear location-related sounds.

Ein Keshatot
An archaeological site from the third century CE, centered around a synagogue that was rebuilt using the original stones. The synagogue is located in an ancient village close to a spring that was the center of life and industry in the village. After rehabilitation of the synagogue, we developed a concept and planned an unusual experience based on virtual reality goggles that visitors can carry round their necks. At seven observation points, the visitors can raise the goggles and watch a simulation of life in the village and the synagogue some 2000 years ago. (The goggles are based on virtual reality technology.) Developed and planned together with the artist Eduardo Hobsher.
Expo Astana 2017
The State of Israel participated in the Expo at Astana (capital of Kazakhstan) in 2017 with a pavilion spread over almost 400 sqm. The main experience for visitors was a unique show combining international gymnastic dancers synchronized with a magnificent multimedia show which made a visit to the Israeli pavilion one of the leading Expo attractions (considering the fact that there were over 100 exhibitors).
In addition to consulting and management of project production (for the Israeli foreign office), the project involved managing the pavilion with more than 30 employees working 3 shifts and hosting over 3 thousand visitors per day over 3 months. The pavilion, and consequently the state of Israel, gained a lot of exposure and respect.
The City of David Night Show
"Halleluiah" is an outdoor night show that takes place among the ruins of what is believed to be the palace of King David in the City of David in Jerusalem. A spectacular projection is mapped onto the ruins of the palace, illustrating the amazing journey of one of the important leaders of Israel at that time – Nehemiah.
This $5 million project consists of a 25 minutes display with 3D animation involving light effects and music that was composed especially for this show.
It is one of the main attractions in Jerusalem, giving the city’s many visitors an appealing night activity option.
Museum of the Tannaim
Leading the creative team to develop a program for a project on the Jewish Sages from the Mishnaic Period (from the second and third centuries CE). The Jewish Sages formed the basis of the Traditional Jewish Bookshelf. This project was designed to draw the Israeli and Jewish public to the work and values of one of the most important groups and periods in Jewish history.
Expo Milan 2015
In 2015 Israel was one of 140 countries that participated in the Expo of Milan. This huge project spread over 2,500 sqm, with a unique pavilion that was designed and build by AVS with Knafo-Klimor architects. This outstanding project has become one of the strongest icons of this giant event. The exhibition was open to the public for 6 months. Over 10% of the 20 million visitors to the exhibition visited the Israeli pavilion, a staggering 12,000 people per day who were exposed to Israel’s achievements in agriculture. The budget of the whole project reached almost 12 million euro. Consulting and leading the creative side on behalf of the Foreign Office, and following the opening to the public, managing the operation of the pavilion with a team of almost 70 employees working 12 hours a day in 3 shifts, 7 days a week.
The Amdocs Visitors’ Center
The Amdocs Demo Center served as a unique meeting room where the company’s products could be demonstrated in a variety of situations. At the demo center, customers could experience using the products while driving a truck or sitting at home or working at the office, all implemented with instant real-time changes in the surroundings. This was made possible by the use of active glass (milky/clear programed glass) and a white room totally covered by projections. Together with the AVS team I developed the concept and managed the project.
Carasso Science Park
The Carasso science museum is located in Beer Sheba, the capital of the south. It stretches over 17 acres with more than 5,000 m² of indoor exhibition space. Numerous hands-on cutting-edge exhibitions present a wide spectrum of science topics in an exciting way. An investment of $40 million yielded outstanding results which make this science museum one of Israel’s most attractive destinations. I was a consultant on this unique project for 7 years, working with the municipality of Beer Sheba. and above all with the Rashi Foundation, consulting on diverse aspects, developing programs, creating briefs for various content tenders, leading branding development, operating program development, supervising physical features and content quality up to and until the formal opening.
The Kobusch Exhibition
This small exhibition is a great example of how to create attention with a small space & budget. Kobusch is a German packaging company which needed to stand out in this competitive environment. We enlarged some of their leading products and hung them on the walls, painted in white and using very smart animation by the Video-Mapping technique to tell their story and grab the attention of the many visitors passing by.
Nitzana Solar Park
This project involves the development of a breakthrough solar clock consisting of a fan of 600 pipes that turn to the sun. Each pipe represents a minute in the course of 10 hours of daylight. A ray of light shines through each pipe, minute after minute, onto a board marked with scales representing the exact hour. Unlike the classical solar clock, the precision of the Nitzana clock is extraordinary. It was developed by a team of creatives and scientists as the main display for the Nitzana Solar Park near Israel’s southern border.
Tambour House
Managing the creative and design team that established Tambour House for Israel’s largest paint manufacturer. The House serves as a visitors’ center and a source of inspiration for the company’s customers.
Teva
Managing the Teva Visitors’ Center project, for one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. The Visitors’ Center is a journey to the company’s core through a series of extraordinary experiences.
The Elopak Exhibition
This unique exhibition spread over 800 sqm with a budget of almost 1 million euros. Although it was held at a typical industrial event, the marketing department of Elopak (one of the leading packaging companies) agreed to a very different concept which focused on presenting the soul and spirit of the company rather than its products. The concept was based on a multimedia show with the involvement of acrobats which created enormous attention and within 3 days, it became the most visited pavilion and definitely the talk of the town. This production (on behalf of the Promarket group) was challenging in every possible way - time, budget and constantly changing demands – but it nevertheless eventually became a huge success.
Tnuva Alon Tavor
This visitors’ center was a continuation of the Glilot project for Israel’s largest dairy products company, and was established at one of its largest production sites.
The Elite Chocolate Visitors’ Center
Producing a visitors’ center for the Elite chocolate company, on behalf of the Promarket group. The project included the construction of a small structure to serve as a welcoming area, redesigning and furnishing the existing visitors’ center and adding a 120 meter bridge (catwalk) at the production site.
Tnuva Glilot
Visitors’ Center for Tnuva, Israel’s largest producer of dairy products, created by Promarket. This was a pioneering project in terms of the quantity and intensity of the experience created in the space. The location of this project was chosen within a shopping mall close to the company headquarters, rather than at one of its production sites, and for its time it was one of the most popular and sought after. At the time, the project served as a model for many subsequent visitors’ centers set up by Israeli companies.
The Israel Pavilion in Epcot
In 1999 as a tribute to the approaching millennium, the State of Israel participated in a unique event organized by Disney at one of their most famous parks – EPCOT. Disney launched a 15 months event called the Millennium Village that temporarily hosted countries that are usually not presented in the park. The Foreign Office chose Orpan to design and produce this unique exhibition which was visited by millions. For me it was a great honor and inspiration to manage this project at the "Mecca" of entertainment.
